While force sensitive people have been shown to be able to mind control other people, I don’t remember a single instance of long distance telepathy between a force sensitive and a muggle, and at the end of ROTJ she was clearly perceiving his presence through the Force just as Vader perceived Luke was on the ship for Endor.
